As any property owner knows, the guts and internal working infrastructure of a building are just as important as the exterior, and there has been an amazing team working around the clock to get the interior of B&B functioning perfectly and ready to open to the public.

First up, if you’ve driven by 377 Main Street on any given weekend over the last month, you will have seen the Irish Electric crew hard at work, which is nothing short of incredible. Darragh and his team have been - and continue to be - flat out to help us make our deadline, and we cannot thank them enough. There is a significant amount of demo, wiring, and lighting work to bring the building into the 21st century, and we are *so* grateful that Irish has been able to work us into their very full docket. THANK YOU, DARRAGH & IRISH ELECTRIC TEAM!

Next, Scott Nault with Nault’s Plumbing and Heating has been an excellent partner. Scott is based in Dunbarton and has been wonderful to work with. He has tackled demo, getting ready for new kitchen appliances, and new plumbing throughout the basement and first floor - we can’t wait to show you the amazing work he’s done! Thank you, Scott Nault!

and... CALLING ALL ARTISTS!

We want to see what you can do! We are hosting a mural project to beautify the cinder block wall facing the parking lot on South Road. Details can be found here. The gist is that we want to embellish a large swath of cinderblock and involve some local volunteers in the actual painting! Details can be found here, and submissions are due July 10th, with painting scheduled to start in mid July (and the winning artist will receive a stipend). We are really excited to get the community involved and to see what ideas our local artists have!

Finally, don’t forget our sign-raising and pick-up event, this Thursday, May 25th, from 4-6pm.

We are thrilled about our new sign going up and to meet some of B&B’s first customers. We will be in touch with a final reminder and weather confirmation on Wednesday evening (in case of rain, we will not hold the event, and pre-ordered items will be delivered to your residence). If you have any questions, please let us know!

Warmly,

Anna, Dulcie, and Beth

PS - If you drove by the store today, you might have noticed that the corner tree was removed - it had grown too big and was obstructing the view for drivers coming from South Road. But, never fear: new beautiful plantings will be going in asap!
