Spring is for... siding! And the first B&B event!

While we are hard at work on the interior of Barrel & Baskit, we also felt it was time to give our charming building some love on its exterior. Over the last two weeks, our amazing roofers and siders, DeFrancesco Quality Roofing and Siding, worked through many cold rainy days to replace the side and rear siding on the building, and it’s a pretty major transformation:

The east-facing side also got tackled this week, and we really can’t believe how beautiful the building is starting to look:

In the coming weeks, we will also work on the front façade with a good power-wash, painting, and window reglazing (our fantastic carpenters also straightened out a dent in the front face, where a car apparently hit the front of the building at some point!).

One of the reasons we believe so strongly in the promise of Barrel & Baskit is that this location truly gets traffic from all four directions: north, south, east and west (Concord, Weare, Henniker, and Contoocook/Warner!). While Main Street might be the busiest side, we think it’s also wonderful to have a beautiful building to see no matter where you are coming from.

The DeFrancesco team has been working tremendously hard to get our project done on time. We are so grateful to be partnering with them and it’s so fun to see the work happen!

This will be a lovely community event as we take one step closer to reopening the beloved Barrel with the Barrel & Baskit sign-raising!
